Was Darwin Right? Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

Hmmmm... the FREEDOM to follow the evidence where ever it leads.

DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY!

If evidence exists that contradicts a hypothesis or theory, that evidence should not only be allowed into the discussion, but its discovery should be celebrated.

Think of how long it took Darwin to get people to look at his theory and get them to change their minds, to publish this new discovery... we're starting all over and it's going to be a slow longsuffering process.

"Was Darwin Right?"

Considering that

a) There is an extensive fossil record showing the previous existence of many extinct lifeforms

b) "Drawinism" is a religion promoted since the time of Huxley

c) Natural Selection is acually a theory, not a fact

d) Many people attribute ideas to Darwin that he never himself expressed.

I'd have to say I don't know if he was right on evolution in general.

However, regarding his writings about "negroes" and other "inferior races" being examples of the links between apes and humans, I would say he was wrong. Would I get in trouble at Harvard or Yale, I wonder, for disagreeing with Darwin?

From what I am understanding you probably would not be looked on favorably. I truly think that our "institutions" are bias and that the "Christian" world view is perceived as dangerous or just plan foolishness.

What I don't understand are that intellectual minds that support Darwinism are OK with the lack of evidence, the lack of transitional life forms. From a scientific view point, wouldn't that be necessary?

I don't know if Darwin ever said that God doesn't exist. But he gave enough information to those that opposite to render an argument. Perhaps the whole thing just got of hand? Like in "we finally have something to shut these blasted Christians up!"

I have yet to read "Darwin's Blackbox" by Michael J. Behe. I truly don't think that Darwin had enough information when he drew is conclusions. We know so much more now about the man than we did back in Darwin's time.

I do understand that if God does exist then I have a responsibility to do what is right. I am made in His image.

Made in His image.
